The event was a hacker conference full of digitalactivists, ‘cyber partisans’, and ‘digital freedom’ types from mostly Europe. These people love doing ‘hacktivism’ that just happens to overlap with the interests of Nato cyber warfare strategy 🤔

noticed this back in highschool when anonymous was first getting really big, and so many of the people who considered themselves anti-establishment really praised them, but i had so many criticisms even back then.

then this year alone was a complete mess with the whole ddossecrets team and affiliated “hacking” organizations. then they sent a trans woman to ukraine to report, but of course nowhere near any azov’s folks. it’s brain dead. i called them out on being nato state actors

A lot of those mid-2000s “cyber-radicals” were, at best, Ron Paul libertarians; which meant, as usually does, that their takes on foreign policy could occasionally be decent, but that in everything else they were highly questionable. What sort of leavened them was that libertarianism used to be more of a big-tent movement, since, to gain some relevancy, the libertarians accepted all kinds of people who were disaffected with the mainstream American parties. (The Republicans purged their more populist elements after the 1964 election and the defeat of Barry Goldwater, the Democrats during the Clinton years). So if you had actual fascists in the libertarian ranks, you also had people who professed some vague type of socialism.

Now, of course, the old consensus has broken down. Serious leftists have either become MLs, or stopped caring about politics altogether. Most right-wing populists have become MAGA. Those on the fence have tended to join some sort of religious tendency unaligned with either left or right, such as Iran-type Shia Islam, or Christian socialism. This leaves the libertarians with less political relevancy than they ever possessed, and to stay relevant, they have been moving towards the Democrats. As a strategy, this is somewhat opaque, since even the Trump wing of the Republican Party is more amenable to libertarianism than the Democrats; but the libertarians have a personal grudge against MAGA (for “stealing our members”), and they can always fool themselves into thinking that in aligning with the Democrats, they are fighting against true enemies of freedom like Putin and Xi. Thus you are starting to see many of the elements who once opposed the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, and who called any form of trans-national law or alliance “fascism,” suddenly cheerleading for NATO.

it’s a rebranding of anonymous stuff, so more of the same. ddossecrets this year was pushing for austerity measures, sanctions, and regime change in russia. way too conveniently aligning itself with the USA state department/nationalist security agencies/western oligarchy. ignoring the history of ukraine for this past almost decade. echoing all the previous issues with anonymous overwhelmingly backing far right voices in the west while co-opting leftist language for it’s missions and to build it’s support base

Chelsea actually spoke to this point in her talk, she said that now states just do things in the open, but surriled it with so much disinformation that you can’t tell whats real or get overwhelmed. Look, the situation with Ukraine shows that the west is HAPPY to work with nazis, spend tax dollars on weapons for the military industry, let the poor pay for the gas bills of their wars, etc, and that’s all open. There’s nothing you can LEAK to make it look any worse than it is really. That’s genius, you can’t do a hack to expose a state who do it openly.

When it comes to DDOSecrets I don’t think they are ‘cronies’ in that they are directly directed by agents. I think they just ideologically align with their own empire in the global struggle for imperialist primacy and buy the propaganda that its ‘progressive activism’ to support Nato interests on this issue. I have asked these people if they are paid by CIA btw, and told them they should be because as a trade unionist I believe in a fair days pay for a hard day’s work.

besides the little bit that i could gather on my own, i got nothing. exposing them would be all about doxxxing, and getting receipts and or transcripts of any communication. i did notice ddossecrets mention some of the tools being used, and i know the hacking organizations submitting to ddossecrets did not make those tools, so that’s a start. they’re not using civilian tools/knowledge, so they have access to something civilians do not. also points out there’s also a slight decentralization in their organizational structure, from actors to journalists/presenters. there’s also been a lot of inter-fighting between those organizations, so might actually be easy to find someone who could talk about what’s going on in more depth and expose what’s really going on

Before it ended I spoke briefly to the spokesperson for the Belarussian Cyber Partisans about the way her organisation strives to do nation building in post Lukashenko Belarus. She said her vision for a future for her country is an agreement with Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, and Turkey in an alliance serving as a buffer zone to Europe, getting funding from the EU and building tech incubators to get US military investment. Of course I said, ‘so fortress Europe can be even more insulated with a layer of buffer from a nationalistic slavic alliance?’ to which she excitedly said ‘YES!’ She finished by saying that they would need to foster a sense of national identity for people to coalesce around. I had to ask her how much the USA is involved in all this and she said ‘they don’t care enough to help’ lol.

She also said she wants Belarus to take back Vilnius as a ‘kind of joke’.

I think she was honest with me as well. Just crazy how the ‘hacker scene’ is so well called to heel for the US empire.

Would you mind expanding at all on what you mean by compromised? This is a subject really interesting to me specifically surrounding the black panthers- I’ve read from old panthers that Huey Newton sorta became a problem in his later years as he was generally the face of the party and one of the first people that one would look to learn about them and his later writings were just kinda weird and off focus from the real struggle.

I’m wondering if we really know what went down, did they torture them with things like solitary confinement to just try and screw them up permanently to make them not threat? Were people paid by the state to say certain things in exchange for getting free?

Judging from the people around me irl, celebrity worship is one of the most destructive facet of the capitalist media. And i’m not telling about the hero worship in general, that can be even beneficial if done right (like in the case of Lei Feng), but the mindless obsessive interest about existence of bunch of worthless parasites who are today celebrities. Sadly especially women are targeted by this. This is turning people brains into mush, like i was flabberghasted by the amount of people literally crying for the fucking queen of some shit island on the other side of continent. Or the personality cult of pope JP2, who didn’t even expressed any shred of personaly whatsoever.

But it’s interesting to know, I would about the third most, after you hearing something awful from another person and that person being Chelsea Manning.

You let people know which conference people might want to avoid. Such a conference wouldn’t likely be inviting Chelsea Manning if they didn’t approve of his message, or they would let the audience audibly know that their speakers’ does not reflect theirs.

Their govt is capitalist. Putin mostly sucks. They’re also the only thing standing in the way of the total hegemony of the largest fascist empire the world has ever seen spearheaded by the U.S.

Russia, as “totalitarian” as it may be, does not ban communists from its government and in fact the communist party is very large. It does ban neo-Nazi groups as well as parties calling themselves explicitly fascist. Ukraine, on the other hand, has avowed fascists in positions of power in both the government and the military. They have recently banned all communist parties as well as all leftist parties, ranging from mere anti-war liberals to social-democrats. Anyone bringing awareness to the Nazi problem in Ukraine is summarily arrested. Zelensky himself wants to turn Ukraine into a “new Israel” with ethnic Ukrainians being in charge of an apartheid state where ethnic Russians are second class citizens and armed military police roam the streets and “guard” movie theatres, hospitals, schools, and more.

Russia is currently attempting to liberate ethnic Russians in the Donbass region from an ethnic cleansing campaign that goes back to 2014 and before. Over 14,000 ethnic Russians have had their lives taken by the Ukrainian military and many more have had their homes and livelihoods destroyed. This is the reason Crimea voluntarily voted to join the Russian federation, as did the people in the Donbass. Russia is acknowledging a democratic referendum. Ukraine is continuing its ethnic cleansing policy. It may seem complicated, but there is an obvious answer to the question of which camp is perpetuating imperialism and genocide and which one is finding itself fighting against it.

The Belorussian Cyber Partisan also wants to turn Belorus in to a new Israel for the Western empire. She wants her country to become a tech hub, grow their economy and attract ‘skilled workers’, part of which is driven by defence contracts. She wants it to have a strong ethic identity based around fear, and victimisation by their neighbours who want to destroy them, and to serve as a buffer for the west against their enemies.

I don’t think it’s fair to say he’s advocated for apartheid based on this, just that he admires apartheid and wants to implement a police state. A lot of this article is also attributed to a Daniel Shapiro rather than Zelenskyy.

Well I asked for reading material and what you sent me didn’t support the claim. You haven’t said anything else in this thread to establish and substantiate Zelenskyy advocating for apartheid. The article is also clear that it’s the author’s speculating and just following the trajectory. I’m not saying Zelenskyy and his government aren’t Nazis, I’m just asking for condemnation to be based on verifiable non-rescinded statements. Banning socialism and being against the people is bad enough. But publicly supporting apartheid is (I think…) going to turn public opinion against him in Europe. If it’s actually something he’s advocated I want it sourced and I want it heard by my fellow Europeans.

As a counterpoint to the narrative in the article: What else is a police state necessary to enforce? My suggestion is the suppression of communism.

My suggestion is the suppression of communism.

That’s already happening in Ukraine, so it’s not what they are talking about. Also, apartheid is already in motion there too, since 2014 when they passed some bills against the russian minority and russian speaking Ukrainians. And their shock therapy especially endangerd Donbass. And they literally started to kill them when they protested. If that’s not apartheid then what it is. Zelensky is standing on a stance of victory in this war, which means Donbas would return to Ukraine - and they want to do what exactly with Donbas then? It will escalate like never before. Again, those are the people who even in middle of losing war make senseless terror strikes against civilians and even attacked Crimea.
