Dinner’s usually at 9-10 A.M., but I work night shift so I’m an outlier lol. Breakfast ~6-8 PM, no lunch.

Agent 47 you’re getting sloppy, couldn’t you just case my house to for a few days to know when to poison my food?

I try to aim for 6 pm but most of the time I end up having dinner around 8-10pm.

Usually I eat dinner around 2200-2300 cause that’s when I get home from work. The past few years I pretty much just eat one meal per day, waiting until the end of the day to eat. I have no clue if this is a good or bad idea.

it’s a bad idea. eating nutritious food three times a day plus a snack is best for most people

7 or 8. No reason why really. I live in a country where there has to be food at exactly 17.30 it seems, so people are always amazed that I eat ‘so late’.

I eat a lot because of the gym, so I guess this works better for me so that I don’t have to cram all my eating in 8-10 hours during the day.

Do folks eat something before 5:30PM and bed usually? Like some snacks maybe?

A sweet dessert is the standard for many I think. But cookies, candy and chips get eaten a lot as well.

Some people don’t eat anything after diner but I could never do that when I was young. We ate at 17.00-17.30 but since I was growing hard, I was always hungry at 8-9 again. My mom used to stare at me in disbelief when I made new food late at night.

Seems kinda nuts to nothing between 5:30PM and breakfast the next day. But maybe the body gets used to it.

I think most people do eat something. Also, typical Dutch and Belgian food is not that healthy with lots of fats, too much meat and too little veggies, too much carbs etc. More than 50% of the people are overweight here. And when they snack, it’s often not that healthy, as I mentioned above.

Not fat shaming anyone I hope, but the general population is getting fatter pretty fast over here. Targeting mostly poor people and migrants, as these things unfortunately mostly do.

I think food being mostly carbs would otherwise have been fine but these days most of the food is heavily processed so you end up with carbs with high glycemic index which is the bigger problem.

Lunch around 1 or 2 PM and dinner between 6 and 8, depends on some periods (sometimes 6-7, sometimes 7-8)

I try not to eat dinner after 7:30 to keep some schedule and not go to bed super late.

Are you thinking you eat dinner too late or something? I think the whole “eating late isn’t good for you” might be a myth.

I tend to eat most before going to bed so it’s easier.

If it’s not a myth it would have to have a bunch of confounding factors like sedentary lifestyle, poor diet choices, and overall stressful life.

I don’t have any statistics on hand but anecdotally the French eat super late and health wise they’re doing fine. It’s like that old “the Mediterranean diet is the best for you.” Well maybe it’s decent relatively soaking, but having access to healthcare and a better work-life balance makes a huge difference as well.

Currently I eat at around 6-7PM. I like doing this because it frees up the rest of the night for me (for activities) and I can go to bed at around 11PM without feeling too hungry. But I wake up with low blood sugar which sucks. So I might try eating later (at 8PM) and see how it goes.

Hrm yeah, there’s apparently nothing wrong with eating a big meal even right before bed. Def give it a try and see if it helps.

eating right before bed makes you more vulnerable to acid reflux but there are other things that make more of a difference. notably dysbiosis, slow stomach emptying, pressure being put on the stomach from tight clothes or belly fat stretching and damaging the sphincter, stress of course

I’ve been eating a lot less since med change… maybe three pieces of pizza, coffee, no candy I think… today and it’s 9:12 PM

assuming you mean the last big meal of the day (some places call Lunch ‘dinner’) aka supper, anywhere between 1600h-1930h.

I tend to go to sleep pretty late, especially for someone my age (I’m 17) who doesn’t have school. I usually go to bed around 2 AM, which means I actually fall asleep around 2:30 - 3 AM. I have found this to be the most comfortable time to go to sleep for me, because due to sensory issues caused by autism, I am many times more productive and happy during night time than day time.

Due to my going to sleep late, I have to eat later because otherwise, I will go to sleep hungry and wake up in an extremely sensitive state, causing me to shut down from even the noise of my mom getting forks from a drawer (I know this from experience). Therefore, I eat dinner around 11 PM - 12 AM. Of course, this is a very late time to eat and many people have told me not to eat this late, but I have to if I don’t want to cause issues later.

I eat at 5 pm and 9 pm because I cook with electricity and it’s more expensive from 5-8 pm

I live in California. There’s a lot of renewable energy here and demand tends to be highest relative to supply at 5pm when people get back from work. After 8pm there’s much less demand so while there’s less supply of renewable energy there’s a baseline supply from fossil fuels and nuclear that exceeds demand, so electricity is cheap again. To be honest, it’s a pain in the ass and we should have less commuting jobs as a society.
