            I don’t believe fascists are insane and I wouldn’t make a comment like the one you did. But the removal stinks of tone policing to me and I fail to see how it makes the site safer for “mentally ill” people.

        This shows a lack of consciousness, and reeks of ultraleftism. Debunk and educate, don’t rely on slurs.

        That person is clearly a misguided liberal, not a fascist, and everyone in that thread deserves to hear the truth also.

        Those with a “Left” deviation in their thinking magnify contradictions between ourselves and the enemy to such an extent that they take certain contradictions among the people for contradictions with the enemy and regard as counter-revolutionaries persons who are actually not.

    I’m fucking insane and if I got my comment removed for calling fascists “deranged”, I’d turn into the Joker.

    Very common of y’all to call bad people “sociopaths” and “psychopaths” yet I’m aware this will never be scrutinized 🧐

        I don’t think telling people to stop saying “sociopath” will change their perceptions of people like me who experience low empathy and struggle with antisocial behavior. Even I call myself that. People should instead think more critically of what values they attach to “mental illness” and the “failure” of acting like a “sane” person.

          I totally agree. Also to the op post, equating facism with mental illness is just extremely damaging to how mental illness is seen by the general public and does nothing to harm facists.

        I believe the problem lies in that people have no idea what ableism/saneism looks and sounds like. I can be biased because I am personally affected by this particular topic. I’m not soft on ableists but I expect more than a change in the words people use. I’m not sure if you get what I mean.

      One of lemmy admins is a liberal and he defends NATO propaganda and is very reluctant of banning rightoid trolls, fash apologists, racists and transphobes. But he heavily tone polices comrades.

      In the meantime, in places without tone policing, moderation looks like that.
