Damn he really went all in today it seems. Reports so far say 83 missles hit targets, which is half of what was fired. The other half was taken down by Ukrainian air defence.

Can’t really see what the missles hit or were supposed to hit on the news, shows mainly footage from inside cities.

Shows what Russia is capable of if they wanted to, I guess. Seems to be a lot of chaos on Ukrainian side because of this.

Funny how every media and the libs have now accepted that Ukraine blew up the Crimea bridge as this attack is now considered retaliation for the incident. Yesterday it was Putin who did it.

“The truck had come from the Russia so it’s the Russia who did it” was probably the most laughable westoid excuse i ever heard.

I think the targets are still being evaluated (what was actually hit, what was meant to be hit, etc). Lots of power plants and substations though, that’s the main thing that was hit. Then also communication infrastructure (people are saying there’s no internet in Ukraine for now but idk), and military command was also targeted. Not sure how well they did on that. Apparently the SBU building was targeted but missed.

“The other half was taken down by Ukrainian air defence” Got a source for that? Because IIRC, Ukraine’s air defence systems are notoriously shitty. I’ve never heard of Ukraine shooting down a Kalibr (which fly low to the ground at supersonic speeds), and most of the time they fail to down Geran-2s (which fly sub-100 kmph and are easily visible even with the naked eye).

Western propaganda media is repeating the story half were shot down. To be fair NATO has been giving them very good toys to play with, I doubt they actually shot down half but I’d bet they shot down some, perhaps a third and the Ukrainians inflated it as usual? Let’s also not forget there are likely actual NATO special forces and intelligence operators in Ukraine coordinating their air defenses and missile defenses using equipment they are already trained on given to Ukraine.

This is not some low burn proxy war, the west is all in. CIA and other intelligence agencies are actively feeding, coordinating, sharing, using intelligence from space assets and all other assets including any agents they have in Russia, cyber-intrusions, etc. They are right up to Russia’s line of involvement, really crossed it but Russia probably isn’t willing to escalate with NATO over that and has no way to prove what Langley is doing.

“Might not”? When it comes to the Western media, it’s best not to give them the benefit of the doubt. Their strategy is to firehose falsehoods and then make everyone forget about it by the time the real evidence comes out by making up more bullshit

I guess this is in response to the bridge. Infrastructure for infrastructure.

But like how when you’re a kid and you punch an older kid, and the older kid punches you back 10 times so that you don’t do it again. Unfortunately some kids do it again anyway.

Between the bridge, attempts at nuclear terrorism, how the war’s been going for a couple of months and a new general in command of the operation now, there were a lot of reasons.

On a larger scale, apparently Ukrainian energy ministry halts electricity exports due to these strikes.

If they knock out the entire power grid Ukraine is done for. Winter is coming. This isn’t going to go well for them.

Ukraine was done for in 2014. Look at the losses they took in “manpower” just this year. Yet their government persists and somehow claims it is winning. There’s a reason people say the war will be fought “till the last Ukrainian”. All those who perish due to lack of heating, all the looting done by criminals due to the infrastructure collapse - all of it will be blamed on Russia and our supposed “genocide”. Hell, it’s even better for the narrative than just missile strikes!

The barrage yesterday morning killed 11 civilians for 200*** missiles.

And I’m just putting it down there without further comment, because in our post-irony worlds, I have no idea if this is a good result or not. Literally no idea. We’re so used to Americans killing everyone (even double-tapping) that I cannot lean one way or the other.

Edit: oh, this the same barrage (but I think they’re repeating it today). I thought this was a new post haha

      • Of course it’s not a good result if they were non-Nazi civilians (which they presumably are, unless they’re unable to enter the army because of old age or some other reason). I hope Russia at least destroyed some valuable infrastructure used by the military with those missiles

I misspoke, Russia actually launched 200 missiles.

The question is, is it possible to barrage 200 missiles and not have civilian deaths? In my opinion the “clean war” is a myth, civilians are inevitably casualties of war. We can take the US approach which is to target them specifically, or (what seems to be) the Russian approach of avoiding them as much as possible.

What I’m interested in to answer this question is, is this a “good” result compared to other missile strikes, and did Russia do everything they could to minimise casualties? And did Ukraine do it too? For example during the siege of Kiev, we know from people on the ground that Russia announced strikes well in advance, but Ukraine only started the sirens 30 minutes, sometimes 20, before the missile hit – which was barely enough time to get to a safe place.

That’s why I’m completely unable to say if 11 deaths is an “acceptable” result or not. If this was the US, there would be more than 100 deaths. And perhaps if it was someone else, maybe there would have been 0 deaths.

Note also they might not all be civilians, perhaps what I read was simple “11 people died” without explaining if they were military or not, and I chalked that up to civilians. This was also likely a preliminary
