I’m so glad those are dead now, or at least we haven’t had to hear about them for a few months.

C’mon man I know economy studies are liberal heaven, but even I learned that labour does indeed create value. Like, you don’t have to be a commie for that.

Even the classical economists like Smith and Ricardo thought that labor was the source of value, and Marx considered himself as following and building on their foundation. It was only later with the austrian-school economists like Mises, and Hayek that value moved from labor to become “whatever people get from trade” or “whatever gives you utility-points”, IE fake-magic-happy-points that could be created and destroyed at will.

Richard Wolff has a good intro article on the economics discipline serving as high priests of capitalism

akushuwually, it depends on your stats… for example we can all agree that refined materials are worth much less points than computer parts, if you catch my drift.

Pretty sure John Wilkes Booth, a confederate sympathiser, said “sic semper tyrannis” after he shot Lincoln

Take off your clothes, get out of your house (but make sure you don’t step on the concrete sidewalk or mowed lawn or asphalt road, better learn to levitate), don’t eat store bought food, don’t drink tap water, don’t go to the doctor when you’re sick.

Actually, just kill yourself because you were probably born in a hospital and were looked after by doctors and nurses for at least one Planck second, and a waste management worker probably hauled away your shitty diapers. So you’re already tainted, original sin type shit except there’s no salvation because even Jesus was a laborer. But make sure not to use a knife, rope, bullet, or poison to do that! Bare hands only, better get to gouging!

There, now you can say labor creates no value to you!

Marx actually goes into this a bit in Critique of the Gotha Programme, he says something about nature being the source of wealth, pls correct me if I misread that its been a while since I read it and it’s my next read

The US tax people for their work which discourage labor, but not for their economic investment that only give advantage to rich people who can get their income solely from their ownership and wealth for investment.
