I have to say, being in China and away from constantly having to hear pro-imperialist and extremely reactionary nonsense is extremely refreshing. The main downside is that a lot of people have quite… feudal(?) thoughts about marriage.

On the other hand, their understanding of Marxism-Leninism is extremely advanced – I talked to someone who teaches his fellow members of the 九三学社 (Sept 3 Society) how to apply Marxism-Leninism, dialectical materialism, MZT, etc to scientific and medical work.

The PRC has abolished feudalism 2 generations or so ago so it can’t be helped I guess

My great grandfather was a literal feudal serf… 70 years ago… It’s gonna take time on that sadly. I think this current generation is the first to be truly “modern” (whatever that means.)

I have an exam for my job this week. Mostly law related stuff. Lots of information, even more exceptions to each rule. I think I’ll do fine.

Nothing else is planned for this week. We’ll see how things go.

Or, well, I do have something planned. I’m going to see my doctor and have him check my back. Something feels quite odd in there, like a weird stiffness that sometimes hurts and sometimes feels like a lump or something. Stoic as I am most of the time I do feel a bit scared to be honest. It’s probably nothing, I am a young and fit guy after all. But still, fingers crossed.

Thanks. I work at the Union actually, so no big bad capitalist boss to rip off. But I could still do it for solidarity’s sake lol.

I applied for a new job yesterday and got an interview invitation today! I’ve been procrastinating applying for a new job for months because I don’t have formal qualifications and writing applications makes me anxious so I’m extra excited!

I learned that I don’t need wait around in a miserable company just cause I don’t feel so confident about my chances.

There’s definitely a bit more hostile behavior lately. There’s some effort you have to take to apply but anyone with and intentions can write a nice sounding story of course. Just report them and we’ll ban them 🤷

the r/workersstrikeback sub is currently being purged of liberals and it’s been very entertaining watching the mods post bait threads and then banning all the dipshits getting mad in the replies lol. salute to their mods 🫡

Today on The Internet™ I saw someone critizicing China for the zero COVID policy because it “harms the working class” and then someone critizicing China for lifting the zero COVID policy because it “harms the working class.” So, China bad I guess 🤷

I can’t wait to see the post‐apartheid Palestine. The houseless Jews are the likeliest to integrate into Palestinian society since they already have nothing to lose; any racism that they have they’ll outgrow quickly. I’m less sure how the other foreigners could outgrow their extreme racism in a timely fashion, though.

It might be rough, and the western press will declare it a “genocide” regardless, but it will be an improvement and the area will slowly but surely recover.

Today we’re supposed to turn in platforming essays on patriarchy and the role we’ve played in continuing it. I’m hoping that mine doesn’t suck too bad even though I was always pretty good at writing essays, it just feels different being read by your comrades versus an institution.

We do critique at our weekly meetings but halfway through the year we all get together to choose an essay topic, we write the essays and present them at our end of year platforming. With weekly critique we usually end up addressing the things we encounter in our day-to-day exchanges but the purpose of the platforming essays is to improve ourselves in more specific aspects that don’t come up in our day-to-day.
