When they claim it’s only a “fringe part of the military” remember their leaders feel the same.

You could even argue that the original Nazis, while they didn’t neccesarily hate the Russians more than the Jews, were certainly planning a much bigger genocide of Slavic peoples. Those treacherous “Asiatics,” after all, were occupying land that Germany wanted for economic reasons.
