No you don’t understand. A socialist society can’t come through violent revolution. That’s wrong of those non-European socialists. We Western European online socialists know how true socialism looks like.

Being a socialist is about voting harder and hating the national enemy

Americans Socialism is, unsurprisingly, racist. Any movement they’re not leading is viscerally repugnant to them. If they don’t lead it and if it doesn’t praise them as heroes, then they will argue to their last breath that it’s too flawed to be given any acknowledgement.

Lol. I’m in America, but I no longer refer to myself as American just because of this. I’m white and was born here don’t get me wrong but I just want to distance myself from this shit as much as I possibly can. You’re totally right. The “left” wingers I talk to are all anti-China, propaganda eating social democrats that think basic Healthcare is socialism.

I’m glad that I outgrew this mentality.

I know that you’ll all roll your eyes at me for classifying these republics as ‘presocialist’, but at least my perception has evolved into something more mature and sophisticated than ‘capitalist countries except without corporations but with a dictator who just had to come along and fuck everything up for POWAH and some mad $$$’

Socialism, communism is an economic system. Which I support 100%.

But, taking USSR as an example, you cant deny the existence of the gulags. Thats not a socialist construct, but a dictatorship construct. Regardless of whether its socialist or communist or capitalist.

Capitalist “gulags” are the world we life in today. We aren’t stuck behind bars but we are forced into a system of wealth creation for the elite. We scrape out an existence wherever possible. That is the capitalist gulag.
