They should absolutely do the Polish TVP next. It literally meets their criteria (is directly funded and controlled by the government)

This just made me check if the Malaysian one, Bernama and RTM is labelled and nope it isn’t.

I guess it only applies to current Western geopolitical enemies and in typical liberal “both sides” fashion they label some Amerikan ones as well to seem fair.

That’s the problem with using this kind of labels for propaganda purposes: it will eventually come back and bite you.

What’s more is that the whole free speech narrative ultimately hinged on these people having media dominance. As long as they controlled what the mainstream views were, a bit of dissent was allowed at the edges. The fact that dissent was allowed fed into propaganda narrative that the mainstream views were popular because of their correctness. This helped create a system of self censorship where people ignored any information that didn’t come from the official sources. Now that they’re losing control of the narrative they’re starting to panic.

Absolutely not National Public Radio. Never, not in any world.

        I didn’t think so.

(I suppose this is what happens in a world where the bourgeoisie thinks it is entitled to everything national and public; they can no longer fathom that national and public might not mean private and for-profit.)

Can anyone share some sources on NPR? My mom is always talking about how they’re a good source.
