Worth noting that this was a planned deployment and not in response to anything currently happening.

The Sarmat missile was being developed for a while now, and this is when they were scheduled to be deployed. Their deployment isn’t a reaction to anything immediate happening with the war in Ukraine or the conflict between the west and Russia. The tweet appears to make it look like this is Russia is escalating in the context of the current proxy war.

but then we don’t have much treaties left to prevent a nuke war. I mean this is important what is happening in Ukraine and in Russia. There is a fire today in St.Petersburg , mostly like a drone attack. This can escalate quickly into something else.

Yeah, the fact that US decided to dismantle all the treaties with Russia is very concerning. In fact, this is one of the main causes for the war in Ukraine since Russia was very concerned about NATO being able to put nukes in Ukraine that could reach Moscow under 10 minutes. The danger of a nuclear holocaust has never been higher than it is now. There is an absolutely insane administration running the US and there’s a communication breakdown the like of which we haven’t seen even during the height of the cold war. A catastrophic miscalculation by either side is a very real possibility.

It’s the legendary creator of the “white race” according to the Nation of Islam, who did it through selective breeding and manipulation to create the most wicked and hateful people. It’s mostly used as a meme to dunk on crackers.

A figure in presudoscientific mythology of the “Nation of Islam” organisation. Which, despite the name, has little if anything at all to do with actual Islam.

According to said mythology, white people were created artificially by a man named Yakub. For reasons. And this is why white people are inherently evil and have stolen everything ever from the black people.

Some comrades here like to mention Yakub in conversations about European or USian stupidity. For reasons.

Two 3-month-old accounts that were giving one-liners like “Let Russia has what it wants, then we’ll have peace in our time”, or “Ukraine can do whatever it wants”, or “Russia won’t launch its nukes because the West has nukes, so pushing them is OK”. Last I checked they were crying whataboutism and trying to semantics troll.

Yes literally, that’s all it would take.

A single shifted border, which you can in turn brag about since the Russkies wouldve taken more without a hard fight. What would you rather instead - keep fighting them indefinitely as more warheads roll out and the frontline barely moves? Keep giving stern warnings hinting at war? Get more NATO states involved?

Russia does not hold Kyiv. If a ceasefire is declared, they would hold the eastern territory they wanted all along, and the rest of Ukraine would be unobtainable anyway. You’re scared of losing basically half an oblast which already costs millions of dollars and hundreds of deaths a year to hold onto, and has an active separatist movement which cannot and will not cooperate with the Ukrainian government. All Donbass will bring you is more violence and diplomatic headaches. Holding it at all costs will either bring nuclear war, world war, or at the very least worse separatism.

You insist on fighting until it’s “yours” (your chosen team’s in this sport) over the possibility of being spiritually “cucked” or something bc you made a minor compromise. Fuck that. That’s the whole of human history in a nutshell, and you’ve just now started trying to cheat it using guided bombs and computers. You think you’ll beat the turning of fate because the 21st century has to be “clean,” which youve already made forfeit. You have no honor and none should be gifted to you. Go enlist so you have something in life to talk about.

There’re two things I would like to point here to show u how stupid u liberals are.

First: you guys are so concerned about being on the moral high ground that u just can’t be pragmatic. You would easily start a nuclear war and feel good about it because the other side has a government u don’t agree with.

Second: you guys point fingers to Russia but would be the first to agree with nuking Iraq or another country occupied by the US the moment any of them did as much as shot a couple of American civilians in American ground, let alone drone attacks…

Western libs feel good when US invades and destroys other governments , genocides the people but Russia can’t talk about their own security issues . Its simply Putin this or Putin that. Putin has always higher popularity than these nutjobs who are ruling the west and Navalny is the not the opposition of Putin.

Dumb take. Putin holds far more power as an individual within his country than any western head of state does - they are tools of the capitalist class more than anything else. Yes, neither Putin nor Western leaders care about working class people, but that doesn’t make them identical.

Why? The Western political system is more resilient and powerful, but that means that the individual people who are part of that system (including the heads of state) have less power over that system they can exert by themselves.

Is the Western capitalist class more powerful? Yes. Are the political systems that function for their benefit more powerful? Also yes. But are the individuals who temporarily serve as heads of state more powerful within that system? Resoundingly no.

And yeah, the relationship between the Russian capital class and that of the Western capital class and the respective workers under their thumb is identical, but that doesn’t mean that the relationship they have with the political leaders is identical. In the West politicians are arguably more like well paid employees of the capitalists, while in Putin’s case there’s a more equal footing.

Does that make a difference to the people at the bottom? No. Does it make those situations identical? Also no.

Power within their own country, I meant, and it was abundantly clear. Also, I was talking about Western leaders in general, and even if your example is an argument against what I said it applies to only one country.

That’s not to defend the nuclear button or the US in general. But come on, my guy. We’re talking about the power they hold over the people and how they relate to the capital class, and the US’ dodgy nuclear weapons policies honestly have little to do with that.

You are missing a very important detail, which is that if they are tools of the capitalist class, it’s the capitalists making decisions and the amount of “power” individual politicians within that apparatus have is essentially a mundane question of administrative structure. Putin the capitalist puppet is no more or less dangerous than a hypothetical quadrivium of capitalists puppets would if they collectively had his power.

First of all, not only did Russia launch a rocket at the moon, but it furthermore hit the moon too (at extremely high velocity lol).

Second of all, it is very literally much more difficult to even get a projectile onto a course that will merely intersect the moon at all than it is to hit any point on the surface of the earth, just in terms of raw mathematics, physics, and engineering.

Russia very much IS capable, with utmost certainty, of striking anywhere on the face of the earth, anytime they choose to do so.

The only reason they have not struck is because they have not chosen to.

(The reasoning behind the current state of that choice, however, is beyond the scope of this discussion.)

Who is “they” lmao you’re an idiot. Are these tankies in the room with us? Do you think anyone on Lemmygrad is in the war room with Putin to tell him “hey bro that’s not a great idea”?

Get some fucking perspective or fuck off back to reddit where your fellow liberals will always tell you you are right and the most intelligent person in the room – alongside them, of course.

So you want NATO to strike Russia and inflict civilian casualties with impunity? I’m sorry I’m just trying to figure out what your actual stance is here.

Also I am not a “tankie” so you can stop throwing that admittedly meaningless term around.

I’m pretty sure most of the United States was not part of the United States at one time, and there were other people living there at the time… I wonder what happened to them?
