The way these losers write their cope pieces is hilarious.

In Xinjiang, empty re-education centers loom eerily over the landscape

Why must they write about this like it’s the gosh-damn Lord of the Rings?

Because they, like Tolkien, think the east is a bad fantasy villain and the west is the good guy Gondor.

Orientalism is a genuine criticism of Tolkiens work pointed out in this essay. Although he says it isn’t based on earth and shouldn’t be taken as allegory, he does base middle earth in a west (noble high-borne elves and men) vs east (evil twisted orcs and savage peoples) dichotomy.

Why does this crap always look like it was generated by a badly tuned neural network? Does propaganda even need those writers at that point even, AI can output more stuff and quicker. Might be more enjoyable and inspired (rofl) too.

Propably the next stage in the evolution of propaganda. Most stock reporting is already done that way. Only a matter of time before bs-churning is also automated.

Someone took a picture of one of the BBC photographers pointlessly stooping really low to the ground to make the buildings look more ominous lol.

This is actually one of the re-education centres. Makes a nice change from seeing a school fence or a grainy satellite photo of an apartment block.

Well, isn’t “reeducation center” just another way of saying “vocational school for adults”?

Fair. But it’s more than just a vocational school. They also learn about dialectical materialism and Marxism, modern politics, history… and comprehensively, so they can see and decide for themselves what is and isn’t in their interests. Way more than just trade skills and basic social skills for tossing people into the labour pool like we get in capitalist countries.

So the “reeducation camps” are empty. Why the complaining? Tf? Like libs were complaining that the “camps” had so many people, now there’s less and it’s bad and scary?

It’s bad that China handled a radicalized population with minor difficulty instead of turning Xinjiang into glass. Makes The West look like absolute fools.

Can’t wait for Xinjiang to inevitably thrive while these camps are empty and broken down while the libs keep fuming about a genocide that didn’t happen.

They are empty. Xinjiang has now been genocided. Maybe they can turn it into a Walmart or something.

What’s confusing me is why empty education centers is bad. Doesn’t that imply that the students can come and go?

They propably want to insinuate that the students were sold as slaves somewhere or killed.
