Caravan Palace makes bangers, some of my favorites by them include Brotherswing, Beatophone, About You (feat. Charles X,) Clash, Moonshine, and the all-time classic Lone Digger.

I listened to a bit of the first song, and it sounded pretty nice. A bit too slow for my liking though.

Goin back to some Arctic Monkeys. AM was not their best, but Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino won me back over. 4 out of 5 is one of my jams at the moment with a bit of Cryin Lightning, and Fluorescent Adolescent. Also been hitting a funk groove as well

Anything la dispute. I find la dispute to be extremely proletarian music, although not outright revolutionary. “Hudsonville MI 1956” is my favorite example of the people-centered nature of their music. “Nine” is phenomenal in this regard, too. The “Wildlife” album goes into extreme intimate detail about facets of human suffering and empathy I’ve never seen any other band begin to approach.

People should rightfully be nervous about getting band tattoos as image for bands in the punk/post-hardcore scene can flip on a dime because of how many abusers there are in the scene. I got my tattoo 4 years ago and don’t regret it whatsoever. The band continues and continues to impress me with their support for feminist and pro-LGBT causes and ideas. They have some of the safest shows out of any musicians for women and people at risk for assault because they train their security specifically to be on the lookout for abusers / gropers and have an absolute no-tolerance policy for that shit.

There’s some memes around about la dispute being whiney or whatever, and I understand it not being to peoples’ personal tastes, but outright disdain for the band and music based on internet shitheads makes me sad and I think people are missing out on really hard-hitting experiences by passing them up.

I love Touché Amoré for similar reasons. Their album “Stage Four” is all about the singer’s experience with losing his mother to cancer. It’s tragic and beautiful, and manages to be relatable despite its specificity.

Great question I’ll add more as I Go. Two Princes by Spin Doctors, some Weezer, Green Day, RHCP, Bob Dylan, a bit of Jimi Hendrix sometimes. Van Halen is great but only 70s 80s not 90s and forward. Motörhead kicks ass(Ace of Spades,No Voices in the sky are great for hard exercises) but I fucking hate their symbolism(Rot in Hell Lemmy) Molchat Doma is good. I’m also SUPER into Hardbass, (Uamee, DJ Blyatman, Hard Bass School, Russian Village Boys) I like a fuck load of Playboi Carti(why does he never release his best tracks tho). I’d also have to add in Video Game radio stations bc that influenced me a lot growing up. GTA SA’s Rap, R&B station, GTA 4’s Jazz playlist is so smooth, Saints Row 2’s 80s Pop station is the best radio station in all of video games(I’m deadass). For lifting I adore listening to Aegukka(DPRK anthem, it’s so powerful that I feel stronger just by listening to it.) эй ухнем, The East is Red, Stalin theme(hes the one lol) Lenin is always with you, and THIS version of Varszavianka, and THIS version of Тёмная ночь which is Jazzy
