Fidel for me. He increased standards of living, avoided getting CIAed, and learned from mistakes on things like LGBT rights. He shows the possibility of growth for a Marxist.

Fidel, truly one of the kindest and most inspirational people ever to grace this planet.

Then probably Lenin because of those big brains.

I like Stalin as a fatherly figure, but I also can’t say no to the charm of Fidel

    Kim Il-sung.

Witnessed the impending and ongoing policy failures of 1950s Soviet Union and China and worked with his comrades to synthesize the good ideas while abandoning the bad to create a sustainable, distinctly Korean form of socialism that continues to effectively combat revisionism and infiltration to this day. (The DPRK undoubtedly exists as a more historically advanced form of socialism than other AES states that still rely on a market economy, in spite of their economic hardships)

He was also a member of three different communist parties, the CPC, the CPSU, and the WPK. Revered as such a hero in the fight for national liberation from Japan that even occupied Korean outlets only condemn him in hushed tones (relative to the mountains of criticisms and lies levied against Kim Jong-un and Kim Jong-il).

Just an utterly wonderful theoretician, revolutionary, and liberator, along with all his comrades that made their revolution possible and successful. ✊️
