its pretty bad to talk about rape without content warning prior. its a personal crusade of mine of course, im a survivor, and its always rough to participate in political discussions because rape comes up so commonly and obviously nothing is ever done about it so its not even a waste of time, but something completely mentally unhealthy for survivors to take part in. luckily im a bit delirious right now so its fine but i figured it might be something to mention. im usually on hexbear who has stricter rules on this (after i succeeded in my crusade there lol) so its kinda jarring coming here when its down.
a lot of people use us for cheap talk without having any empathy towards people who have been raped. like i just saw a video of some conservative douchebag describing a rape in detail to a couple of socialist rape survivors. a good thing is to give survivors a quick warning, it makes it obvious that the socialists actually give a damn rather than just using us for political ends
