Sorry, not a yankee. But isn’t almost all of that bullshit?

Massive infrastructure bill - that resulted in fuck all.

Support for Ukraine - The entire war is for that reason. And is now artifically kept going.

COVID relief - which never was paid as promised?

Protecting reprodfuctive rights despite RvW - But not codifying RvW

Lowering drug costs - still among the highest worldwide

historically low unemployment - via a very creative meaning of “historically”

No clue about the last thing.

KBJ is a justice on the federal supreme court. Having six conservatives on the court and three liberals is better than 7 2 but I don’t know that it amounts to much. Would be better if he’d pack the court, or even threaten to.

If you really believed that then you should be demanding that Biden appeal to more voters. It’s a two-party system as you say, and if it’s “really the most important election of our lives” then you should be doing everything in your power to pressure democrats to appeal to more voters, right? I mean, I guess he is trying to appeal to a certain kind of voter with his border, police, Ukraine, Israel, and neo-liberal policies, but I’m not that voter. I guess he thinks enough voters on the left will still vote for him because orange man bad, and maybe he is right.

But it turns out I’m a single issue voter, and that issue is whether or not you are actively aiding, abetting, covering up, assisting, and committing an ongoing genocide while vilifying, firing, silencing, arresting, and censuring anyone that dares question it. You know, there’s just something about genocide that puts me off a candidate

Honestly the mass backlash of the american populace should if we where a democracy change his mind, but we are not so it does not. The mechanism that we have, that is utterly worthless but what we have short of revolution is to vote… voting for him is rubberstamping and giving approval to everything he has done.

I mean, bare minimum do not endorse him or try to get others to vote for him. Your vote is between you and the ballot in secrecy in this completely farcical ritual that Americans do every other year. I would like to know however where your cutoff for realistic begins and ends, because I have a feeling that our ideas are difrent, for instance, I think a federal Minimum Wage of 40.92 (Finaly updated my number for inflation) is not only reasonable, but floor for any negotiation, while I assume you would say it is not.

I mean you do you, but all you are doing by voting for biden is saying you approve of his genocide, and utter lack of of follow through on any promises he makes, the holding of abortion rights as a political tool and in the process ruining people’s lives, Kids in Cages, the contenuation of the boarder wall, Did I mention the genocide, the continuation of the assult on the USPS and the lack of caring for any systemic issue including the removal of voting rights. Oh and Genocide agian… and no they are not the same count of genocide they are diffrent genocides. Also flagrant violations of international law, among plenty of other things I am sure people here could bring up.

Honestly Not only does your vote not matter, what you would signal support to by voting for Biden, or at the very least what you are saying you are willing to look past is frankly evil. Agian I am not in the buisness of telling people who to vote for, or even not to vote, but that advocating Biden is advocating support for this frankly evil stuff

Also on top of this, there is no real material difrence between the 2 canidates. So your vote does not matter in the sense that studies have shown that the US does not respond to the will of the people at all, but in the sense that you have no real choice, you have evil in an Elephant Costume, and evil in a Donkey constume.

I can’t read all this. If you have a realistic solution, give it in summary form. But it just sounds like you want to mock everything and that’s not only unproductive but a waste of my time.

I mean, it is all English, Yes I am sure I miss spelled some words, and there is a lack of punctuation but I tried to break it up by theme so it is somewhat readable. I do not understand how you are incapable of reading this as, others on this instance seem more than capable of reading my ramblings.

Your lack of being able to read more than a paragraph aside, the TL;DR, a thing I just today learned was a key accessibility feature, not just a nice to have is that Biden is an Immoral War Criminal, under international law, a lair to the American people, and is bedding the destruction of any symblince of a functioning state the United States had just as much as Trump ever did however Biden is more successful. If you vote for him you are saying you are cool with all the shit he did and will do. He and Trump are not materially different in any way outside of retoric.

There are a lot of reasons why people in this community would dislike your message. But on the very fundamental level you’re correct, voting for the less reactionary party is better. As you said “it’s a two party system”, but keep in mind that these parties are not two polar opposites that people have to split between. On the contrary, in most regards they’re protecting the same interests, which are never your average American’s. Of the things you mentioned would suffer under Trump here is what democrats did:

        • Abortion is illegal in 14 states and limited in many more

        • Trans rights are being repealed in multiple states, Florida being the leader in inhumane treatment of genderqueer people

        • Slavery is legal for prisoners (13th amendment), and prisons are at their most populated right now

        • Child labor protections are being rolled back and now we have tweens working nights in slaughterhouses

        • Worker strikes have been discouraged and killed

        • After the Uvalde shooting basically nothing was done about gun accessibility or cops’ response model

        • Immigration and environmental policies are pretty much carbon copy of Trump’s - more fracking, willow project, title 42 staying on for years, current proposals for metering the border

        • White nationalist rallies and general rhetoric are protected under the discrimination laws, yet a house representative gets an official reprimand for voicing her discontent with genocidal actions of Israel

American politics normally have a ratchet effect. GOP moves the country to the right, and stop Dems from any leftwing momentum. But Biden is straight up moving everything to the right himself. So either way you’re voting against the things that you mentioned you care about.

Would you look at that, with just two simple substitutions I made your comment vintage 2012! By putting in McCain/Obama, Bush/Kerry, Bush/Gore, or Dole/Clinton, I could make it look like it came from 2008, 2004, 2000, or 1996.

Isn’t it an amazing world we live in?

Not a yank so know fuck all about most of these but:

Protecting reproductive rights despite Roe V Wade repeal

    data-laughing

“I’m totally protecting abortion everyone!” Does nothing

    Inflation reduction

Means inflation is still increasing just at a slower rate, effectively meaningless for most people.

well…the american elections are in a very strange crossroad:

vote for the guy who started a war and supports genocide by imperialistic reasons

    or

voting for the guy who WANTS to start a war and a genocide because he sees himself as a tough guy

Also, they’re both definitely pedos, racist, and among the most corrupt POTUSes (tough competition that it is) in history.

NGL, the USA is getting the leaders it deserves. Not that I wish it were, but these two are perfect examples of the “ugly American” in its two most common forms.
