Our expert translators over at the BBC have told us that this sign actually says “obey great Kim leader monarchs or die by a million dogs.”

The mind is an interesting thing. People are so propagandized about the dprk that something completely normal like a street with people on it looks creepy to them. Doesn’t help that there are videos showing dprk streets on YouTube and they put creepy music over it.

Westerners love racism. I don’t even know why the propagandists try so hard. They could do nothing and people will generate propaganda themselves as exemplified here.

Looks like a pretty typical fall morning – kind of foggy and cold, not many people out yet, nobody really talking to each other because they just got up and are on the way to work or school.

What will really blow libs’ minds is finding out that this exact same scene happens in many places in the US. Just with more shit and needles on the street, and more danger of getting mugged (by criminals or the police).

white people act like they’ve never seen urban fog before.

I grew up in a place that was foggier than this. If it wasn’t for the people in the frame, you could convince me that it was taken somewhere in my hometown.

I actually quite like the pastel colours for their buildings. I guess it looks “old” or “out of date” to most people in the west, but I think it feels colourful without being too in-your-face. Plus I imagine that as it fades with time it still looks good, while a lot of brighter colours on western buildings need constant new coats or else they look awful.

it has way more character than the monolithic white blocks that westerners call “modern”

Yeah, my city has looked way creepier in the fog than this.
