It abolutely is, Russia is the hinge in the emerging multipolar world because of BRICKS, because supplying resources and weapons outside of US control to much of antiimperialist block and because being somewhat a middleman between China and a some other countries, mostly India.

Yeah this is exactly what happened in Iraq, it was even called Coalition of the Willing or something similar.
