HSBC became the first global international bank to establish a Communist Party of China’s committee within its investment bank, allowing the CPC to carry out “activities” within the group’s Chinese business.

Western corporations in 1950: “We must be on our guard against Evil Communist Infiltrators.”

Western corporations in 2022: “Please, communists, grant us access to your stable economy, because ours is crashing. Look, we’ll even let the Party govern us directly – please? Please?”

    You love to see it.

I’m liking China’s approach to the destruction of Capitalism more and more. Anyone know of the game “Black and White”? It’s this kingdom builder where you are basically god. You can either win by being war like and destroying you enemy, OR, make your cities a utopia so awesome the enemy civilians just keep joining you till you take everything over. I like to think that’s what’s happening now. CPC is just making their shit so fucking great slowly more and more will see past the bullshit and start jumping in bed because capitalism is crumbling.

I remember once I read an analogy that I thought it was kinda cool.

Western approach to this geopolitical conflict is like chess: Even though it’s an strategy game, you only win when your enemy is eliminated. When the game is over, it’s clear, because the king will no longer be present in the board. China’s approach is more like Go (WeiQi): The goal is not to completely destroy the enemy, but to encircle them in a way they can no longer play. By the time China will, it will not be immediatelly apparent and when the west realizes it, they will have already lost.

Every time I read something about China building it’s own tech despite the sanctions (much to the surprise of the west) or influencing a bit more american enterprises I cant help but think about this analogy. China doesnt need to obliterate the west, it will wither away once it’s ability to wage war is taken away

Communists are supposed to kill all capitalists and give the means of production to workers, not set up a committee with in a investment bank…

You must play a long game or you will die. Infiltrate a bank today, spread your tentacles as the capitalists work tirelessly to do the same, slowly kill them over decades. Not to mention the West is a psychotic, rabid animal that would nuke the entire world before letting communists pluck off their ruling class.

Yes. The main vulnerability of capitalism is its slavish devotion to the profit motive. If you make it profitable in the short term to advance the revolution in the long term, you will have a better chance of success and a lesser chance of outside interference.

Communists are supposed to kill all capitalists

Communists are supposed to try and bring about communism. Violence isn’t the solution to every problem. If it was, Maoists would be much more successful than they are with their mindless and perpetual people’s war

Its really not uncommon to come across terrible takes like what you were ‘parodying’ pop up here on the odd thread. There was very little hint that it was sarcasm, something that is admittedly very difficult to put across in text.

Sir/Ma’am, this is coming off across more as a concerning word salad and less of a good argument. What non-revisionist nation ever on the history on earth abolished extreme poverty for nearly 1billion people?

The chinese state has a 95% approval rate and the biggest communist party in history. It has also dissolved billions if not trillions of dollars worth of exploitative non-productive labor in the last couple of years. What other communist has done so? To support China is to support successful communist movements. I don’t think you are anything more than an idealist if you don’t support China.

Do you not have any idea how socialism with Chinese characteristics works? The utmost priority of the Chinese government is to bring prosperity to the Chinese people, through the co-operation of all strata of Chinese society, you can’t do that by just killing everyone in one class and hoping that solves all your problems. Unity under the party, that’s the mission.
