Bojack Horseman was pretty good until the final season. I never watched the final season, just I didn’t like how it went at the end.

Oh damn yo it is ROUGH in the best way. I heard they really wanted to do 2 more full seasons at least but Netflix said 1 and they settled on a slightly bigger 1 and while they did the best with the sudden ultimatum it definitely feels a little on fast mode. But you have GOT to see it. What didn’t you like about how it went?

The ending really depressed me (I read about it and saw it online) and it felt rushed and unearned. And even though Bojack is an asshole, I felt like the show ended too roughly on him.

Yeah, I will say I sobbed uncontrollably at the very last scene.

It wasn’t all doom and gloom though! I think he reached a certain internal peace despite being so traumatized by his death hallucinations (I know that should fuck me up), he lost a lot of his long-term relationships but there’s a flicker of hope for a few of them. I think he reached a point where he fucked up his life, accepts it, and is ready to gently build himself a newer one, one with less drugs sex and parties and more of the pruning a plant, taking walks on the beach and having frank but compassionate conversations.

I agree with the sentiment, and it makes sense. I just think its still too “salty” and that Bojack should have at least find someone who accepts him.

Ditto, loved it so far my only complaint was that the visuals are 10/10 but some of the sound design felt weak. Also feels a little like “starting from scratch forget what you know” but idk I’m here for it

I’ve only recently become a fan of Halo, so I don’t have the exact same experience and nostalgia for it as many fans do.

A few months ago I played through every Halo game in a somewhat chronological order:

Combat Evolved, Reach, ODST, 2, 3, 4, Guardians and Infinite.

Halo captured my imagination and set it on fire, and I’m in love with the series. I’m not a lore expert, but I’m on my way there.

The Paramount tv series adaptation took everything I love about Halo and put it on the tv screen.

The series follows the canon lore for 95-ish percent of the time, and the deviations and differences are vastly overblown and blown out of proportion by detractors and make complete sense in the story.

The show is a fresh remix of Halo while being different enough to keep it exciting and interesting.

I think Pablo Schreiber is an excellent and grounded Master Chief, and Halsey’s actress is phenomenal.

The aesthetics and visual design of Halo are exactly how I imagined a live-action version, and the music is enthralling.

I love the world-building and the more grey morality and ethics compared to the games.

The covenant’s CGI is very convincing, and the weapons of the Spartans are just chef’s kiss

I-uh… I watched Our Flag Means Death. I have brainrot now. I loved it.

I’m always going back to Gravity Falls, Rick and Morty (lord forgive me) and seasons 3 to 10 of The Simpsons.

I always enjoy watching shows from HBO max (if you don’t have it, set JustWatch to show you TV-shows available on HBO max and proceed to your favourite torrent or streaming site). Who could have guessed that owning WB, HBO and CN IP gave you access to a quality catalogue.

But lately I’ve been enjoying Chinese “dramas”. They’re super long and I must seed them back for a long time so I take my sweet time with them. Currently enjoying The Rebel, cause I couldn’t help myself when I read reviews complaining that it was “CCP propaganda”. The actors are fantastic.

I have a few shows I love with all my heart but I’m not sharing them lmao.

Ever since I joined AvistaZ, my hard drive hasn’t know a day of peace.

Yes, go watch The Rebel. The acting is amazing and the storyline is engaging. From what I’ve seen so far, it’s been dubbed well. But I haven’t finished it so if it ends like shit you can’t blame me.

Online westoids didn’t lie, The Rebel does make Chinese communists look fucking badass.

        Breaking News

Tragedy! The show @panic@lemmygrad.ml holds near and dear at the moment is Our Flag Means Death. His brain doesn’t work anymore. The story was too compelling.

“I can’t let Taika Watiti keep doing this to me, he comes out with something new and I’m like a liberal with Hairy Padder. I’m too old for this.” he said.

I loved GoT but we like HAD to binge it lest we forgot 80% of the characters and what was happening, sometimes would need a break from the grimdark but otherwise awesome.

BB is like a long awesome movie. Still haven’t checked out Better Call Saul.

I would expect at best a medium level of bias, is The Americans good as a communist?

I finished watching The Good Place a few months ago and i can definitely recommend it if you’re into comedies and existential dread. Season 1 of Resident Alien is also incredibly solid with 10, 40-minutes episodes which you should watch if you’re into murder mysteries that are captivating but don’t take themselves too seriously. Although some say season 2 is sucky, i’d rather wait for the whole season to come out in summer for any veredict. And there’s a spot on my brain specifically reserved for remembering the entirety of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency (2016), which was pretty darn good dark humour detective show.

My gf is very into murder mysteries and both of us can put a detective hat on here or there so definitely noted.

My best friend also recommended the Good Place, my first impression was that it was lib sitcom but he too noted it was much more than that.
