We’re watching what happens when you let Russia talk you into disarming on the hopes of a forever peace play out with Ukraine right now. They want their Balkan border against the EU back by force, and would never dare step toe into a NATO country. Russia is time and time again the aggressor in Europe, and joining NATO is the only protection for many countries against that.
