I really wonder how this contradiction is gonna play out, the populations and media of all these countries hating China, whilst becoming more addicted to its exports. Seems incredibly whiny and pathetic, they’re losing the economic war, and western media monopoly is one of the only weapons they have left.

I expect the China hysteria is going to pass very quickly with the fallout from the pandemic. Pretty much all the economies except China are shrinking, and capitalists want to keep making a profit. So, they have no choice but to continue doing business with China. I also expect US influence is going to continue to fade as the internal collapse continues to intensify. Without US driving the push I really can’t see EU going against China.

ofc there are only 14 countries that matter in world opinion. All the bilions living outside of the west+japan and SK are clearly unimportant. these “public” opinion polls are ridiculous.

I wonder how they got these numbers, as far as I can see the article mentions nothing about methodology. At least for southern Europe and South Korea, the “unfavourable” numbers seem way too high.

Either way this is probably another element of manufacturing consent against China.

I’m not a statistics nerd but I think sample size has diminishing returns, and random selection is just as important.

Thanks. So for a lot of countries they just call landlines. Most people dont even have landlines anymore. Which means a lot of their respondents are old people who watch too much TV.

Good thing the Chinese don’t give a fuck about what brain-dead liberals think.

I wonder what the “advanced nations” consider a “good job” handling the outbreak. Nothing less than absolute godlike perfection or do they demand an apocalyptic die-off?

Do as good of a job as the PRC but be subservient to the US. That’s it. Actually, now that I think about it, I’m wondering if the good job part is even needed. The subservience is very important though, of that we can be certain.
