Story time. When my brother worked for a multinational in China, they had one of those awful corporate “rally the troops” kind of meetings. When one of the bosses asked the workers, “What are the three things you need to be successful in this company?”, one brave soul replied “white man suit”. The bosses were shook and stumbled over their well rehearsed platitudes for a while after that.

I lived in HK for a short while and became familiar with there electoral system and the average workers perception while living there. I was working as a chef helping my partner at the times family out in one of there resturaunts, so had time to speak to people.

Most of the workers where making 2-3 usd a hour, when asked how high there rents where it was usually above 1.5k usd a month; most people working I knew worked 60-70 hour work weeks and lived in coffin homes with no kitchen or bathrooms, just a bed.

Anyway, for the longest time the largest chamber of the HK legislative was non-elected, and put in place to represent the colanial powers interests. This board is made up of mostly white people.

When libs try to tell me about HK and cite HK free press, a derivative of RFA I point out the same contradiction, most of the people who own that news orgs are outsiders representing colonial interests.

This is the owner of HK free press lmao

I feel like there’s hope. When I was in China before COVID and the trade war there were so many KKKrakas in advertisements and billboards. I went back after the lockdowns for a week and didn’t spot a single whitey in any ads. Maybe the tide is turning.

A racist colonial free riding Pax Americana indoctrination company can openly operate in a dictatorship of the proletariat? Did the Liberals redefined dictatorship to mean absolute authority by one brutal ruler? The Chinese Communist Party are surely too democratic like Socialist Venezuela under Chavistas like Maduro, USSR that are able to “transition” into stable multi-party democracy after 1 year, and Cuba which the Pax Americana treated as cartoon villain that are only evil in name.

Did the liberals redefine dictatorship to mean absolute authority by one brutal ruler?

Yes, literally yes. This is how it is used colloquially in many parts of the US, Kim Jong Un and Xi are both literally the strongest men in their whole societies and everyone listens to everything they say at all times. Zero material or class analysis.

This is also how they think of Hitler. He literally controlled it all in their minds, and I genuinely believe this is why they sympathize with Nazis so much because they genuinely believe fascism isn’t an oiled machine funded by many arms of capital and people, but is truly a brainwashed population completely subservient to one person. Like I said, no class or material analysis. Embarrassing.

Edit: Further, I have had acquaintances who know I’m a communist and heard me use “DoTP” before ask me in good faith - “So why do you think a dictatorship is the way to go? Why one person?”

They were not being rude or bad faith. They were trying to understand my position and did not even consider the possibility that I am talking in class dictatorship terms. It’s very sad to see.

Sorry, could you try again with the questions? We get a lot of bots with… Odd answers

After this they’ll go out of their way to say “Oh, the King had to answer to his nobles etc” or “Hitler (usually not Hitler, but whatever fascist in Latin America they’re supporting) had his inner circle that could have ousted him” if they need to justify some past regime.

Hong Kong was controlled by Britain until relatively recently and still won’t fully become a part of the PRC until another 25 years, so China’s legal powers in dealing with stuff like this is a little restricted compared to the mainland.
