I have my new password, and the “verify password thing” (I think that that’s for copying the NEW password, but correct me if I’m wrong), and then I entered in my old password into the old password input thing. But when I enter these, it says “Invalid password, password must be <= 60 characters”. What does this mean and how can I fix it? Thanks in advance
You must have created a password with more than 60 characters? Try reducing that if you’re still logged in.

Seconding Muad’Dibber + if you’ve already logged out, try using the first 60 characters of your password to log in
I think this might be a bug. You should report it to the Lemmy project GitHub or the Lemmy support community
If you can’t figure it out and want to create a new account just tell us it’s you in the application form.
I had this issue too on another site when I generated a long ads password with keepass , solved changing pass tho
