Today’s discussion questions are…

  1. What have you been watching?

  2. What are you anticipating to watch?

Bonus question:

…Been watching the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series?

Someone here recommended me “Come And See” a few days ago, I just finished it today. I really liked it! The abstract borderline nightmarish stuff was woven so intricately with the very “slice of life” candid feeling realism that it was hard sometimes to tell what you were supposed to take at face value and what was supposed to be a metaphor (surely on purpose). Made me boil with hatred at Nazis for the thousandth time lol. Very dark. Definitely some moods and images that are still with me.

It was crazy looking it up after to learn it’s apparently a crazy famous and critically acclaimed movie!

I think it was me bc I was all over the comments in a post about movies talking about it

images that are still with me

the image the girl sees when she looks back at the village before leaving is the most disturbing thing Ive ever seen. Way worse than anything in any horror movie.

Yes actually it was you! Thank you for the recommendation!

For me just the SOUNDS was horrifying. The hellish cacophanies of dogs barking, people screaming for their lives, fire and music and loudspeakers. Also when the main character is sort of deaf for a while. The expressions people had were also haunting.

I heard about this movie! I’ll add it to my list, but for some reason, I really haven’t found the energy to watch a movie lately. I dunno what it is, but I used to do it all day.

I actually hadn’t watched a movie in a long long time either. Gotta be in the right mood, I’ll never force it.

Critically acclaimed when the Soviet Union was still relevant. I mean, it still is, but you can tell why people forgot.

Anyways, yeah, it stuck with me; not something I’d watch again willy-nilly.

Still haven’t started, saving it like a good cookie for a rainy day

I want to, from what I’ve heard… but I stopped watching it after season 2.

It’s definitely worth the watch, though the first few seasons aren’t really fast paced. It’s still funny to watch Saul and his elaborate little schemes. How was the Obi wan series? I honestly haven’t watched the past few star wars movies. The last one I saw was the one where rey first made an appearance.

The sequel trilogy is bad, in my opinion, but that’s a common one.

I am enjoying Obi-Wan Kenobi quite a lot.
