    It’s an agreement for $100M in investment via the 2 nations’ cooperation agreement, it’s not just “here’s $100M, go nuts”. It is +$100M to Cuba but that’s not what I’m critiquing, I’m saying it’s not a donation, it’s an agreement to investment via dual national cooperation agreement.

      I believe this is kind of better right? Like if you just drop 100m on them there’s only so much they can do with it realistically but if you put forth that same equivalent of materials to help build up their country that’s actually helping them out way more in the long haul yeah?

        Whether or not it’s better really depends on the specifics of the agreement. But no doubt additional resources is a positive. Coupling their economies in this development is also a positive as it insulates Cuba from western interference in this development. My only concern is national sovereignty which again really depends on the specifics of the agreement.
