For starters, how the fuck do you enforce an embargo without the threat of violence, and secondly I love how me and all my communist friends are expected to have a PhD in world history and economics while your average liberal can cite two state department links and a CIA funded NGO and call it a day.

That’s 100% a state department, NED, or US NGO text that was pushed there by a bot. They have bots that auto-respond stuff like this to pro-Palestinian posters for hasbara so it only makes sense they make them for this kind of thing.

Absolutely. There’s no way a real human being would be linking to fucking state.gov’s fact sheet. I don’t think normal human beings would even open that website.

Genuine question: Even if this is true, isn’t it just irrelevant? How is Cuba supposed to use US dollars to buy food and medicine, if they can’t export anything else to any countries that use US dollars? Are they just supposed to be in debt permanently?

even if that were simply as true as they say, they fail to mention that Cuba is still on the fake list of ‘state sponsors of terrorism’ thus making it extremely difficult to do business with any entity in Cuba iirc
