How doing comrades? Remembered to get the post up today before 30 minutes to midnight. lol.
How has your week been going?
Personally, I’m still taking it easy on my injury but I’m hoping to get back to lifting this coming week. Starting off light and getting the muscles woken up. I have started the deprogram podcast during my daily walks and manage about an episode or two a week. I have gotten a few friends listening to it somehow. Neither of them are communists but they at least have a general dislike for our current political and economical atmosphere. I’m hoping the podcast will help me radicalize them.
I broke a tiny bone in my foot and no more gym for two more weeks at least 🙃
I feel this. I have a nasty ingrown toe atm and I need to put off any exercise until I get all the stuff together that I need to do the surgery on it.
Wouldn’t it be possible to do some (light) upper body routine?
Now that it’s healed a bit, possibly, but I’m an all or nothing type of guy.
Nothing wrong with a bit of rest. I hope your foot heals quickly.
It’s gonna be a whole month’s rest and I really want to go back to the gym, but I’ll just feel frustrated not being able to do my routine and then might break even more bones trying to push it lol
Just gotta do some bench presses and pullups in the meantime! lol

Nooooo comrade that’s fkn awful. 🙏ing for your tiny foot bone.
Thanks comrade
Been doing well worked out only 2/4 days so far, also reading Inventing Reality by Parenti most of what i have read so far has been kinda obvious but i know it will get better.
I’ve fully returned to my routine again after last month. Feels great to be back in the gym again. I’ve also missed eating a shit ton of food daily lol.
I’m trying to figure out a way to offer a party-minded lifting group. I wanted to suggest the idea in my youth group meeting this week but it got cancelled unfortunately. Trying again next week. I hope I can get some people from the party to join.
Been doing yoga this year and loving it! Really testing my flexibility and balance, but mostly my strength! Didn’t realize yoga could be so tough!
I remember a while back I had some shoulder pain so i decided to chill on the weightlifting and was gonna try yoga. Found a beginner video on YouTube and did a 15 minute session and my muscles were burning. Didn’t realize how much strength was needed.
What type of yoga do you recommend? Or some good vids to start.
I follow the YouTube channel “Breathe and Flow” and am going through their “ignite” series.

My “civilize the mind” part of the workout this week has been listening to aime cesare’s discourse on colonialism.
Been savaging my upper body and arms with a lot of chest work and dumbbell curls.
This week, I worked on my split jerk/squat jerk and super proud of my 40kg squat jerk, probably can do more, but fear plays a huge part here, since I am training alone.
Feeling great with my form, even tough I can probably push myself more in the gym. As someone who came from a sports background (played federated football all my youth), and then was devastated at 18 when I was invited to leave the club. I really lack some sort of figure that forces me to train harder and push myself to the limit …
