Funny how they get mad when Putin makes a historic claim to Ukraine (link to them getting mad since you’ve seen this already) and then do the exact same thing they make a big deal of getting mad about
Putin claims for Donbas, Crimea and Black Sea oblasts are actually correct, those lands were all given to Ukraine in XX century and despite fervent ukrainisation they aren’t Ukrainian any more than west Ukraine is Polish. So it’s not even the same.
Liberals are all fucking hypocrites, with absolutely no principles.
They make up the rules as they go. They rationalize whatever opinion makes sense to them in the moment.
Liberal principles: does it benefit me?
I think that lets them off the hook too easily, Liberals have principles, however they are all merely skin deep. They also cannot understand why someone would have their principles and not disgard them the second they get in the way.
I would say this having principles and arguing for them saying they are deeply held but throwing them out at first notice, is worse than not having them
Interesting idea. I suppose to me, abandoning principles is the same as not having them. But I could be convinced that they just have principles, but selectively apply them.
Perhaps rather than calling it “principles”- it’s that they have a conscience. They don’t listen to it, but it’s there, and in the most glaring cases they can realize they have egg on their face.
I certainly don’t think of it as “principles” as well. Some of those people would sell their own grandma if the price was right. It’s all talk, all posturing to feel good about themselves, but the second their wealth or their privilege is affected in any way- or the second there’s profit to be made being a part of the problem, they act in a predictably disgusting manner.
Colonialists will forget about or handwave atrocities that occured 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago but somehow come to the conclusion that something bad happening almost 1400 fucking years ago justifies genocide today.
For frame of reference, Muhammad (pbuh) died TWO YEARS prior to the event this person is referring to. The native genocide in the U.S. is ONGOING, as it is in occupied Palestine.
