An official announcement regarding the high-profile attack on European energy infrastructure is expected this week

Sweden will this week announce the end of its investigation into the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, German media claimed on Tuesday.

The reports come after Swedish prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist told the Expressen national newspaper on Monday that he will disclose a major development in the case within days. Built to deliver Russian natural gas to Germany via the Baltic Sea, the Nord Stream pipelines were damaged by a series of powerful explosions in September 2022. Germany, Sweden, and Denmark each launched their own national probes into the incident after failing to agree on a joint effort.

Several leading German news outlets, including Suddeutsche Zeitung, NDR, WDR and Zeit, have predicted that Sweden will close its investigation after failing to identify any suspects. The move will benefit German investigators, according to the news outlets, as Sweden will be able to share evidence with them once its own case is closed.

Investigators are reportedly focusing their attention on a yacht named Andromeda, which was allegedly rented in Poland by a Ukrainian citizen before the bombing, and may have carried the team responsible for it, according to a working theory.

Warsaw has been accused of stonewalling requests for assistance from fellow EU members and feeding them disinformation to scapegoat Russia, the Wall Street Journal claimed last month.

Skeptics of the Andromeda theory have argued that the depth at which the pipelines were blown up would have made it impossible for divers lacking highly specialized skills and equipment to plant the explosives.

American investigative journalist Seymour Hersh claimed in February 2023 that the incident was actually a clandestine US-Norwegian operation, personally ordered by President Joe Biden to ensure the EU’s decoupling from Russian energy supplies.

Honestly the Nordstream nonsense is one of those things that more than anything else, makes one realize just how much sheer astroturfing is going on in most places, certain subs in reddit most of all. The sheer amount of gullible ignorance being displayed otherwise would make one question how these people wipe their ass or operate phones, computers, or any technology more advanced than a pointy rock, honestly.

Not gonna lie, the Gazan hospital excuses are similarly blatantly false- but “at least” in their case, the western MSM reaction was predictable/expected on my end. Because when it comes to non-white people, Muslims in particular, Americans and the west in general can be utter ghouls, and it’s normalized here- it’s not like I’d expect most Zionist Israelis to fully believe the excuses if at all either, because I know (roughly, adjacently) the mentality that goes behind this all- and that mentality simply doesn’t care, about the truth, about morality, etc… they just want the genocide, and everything else is an excuse.

Zionists are worse at optics (because they still live in an official apartheid state), but the mainstream white western mentality, particularly in the other settler-colonial states, is simply further developed along that path- to a point where they now “know better,” to present themselves as less genocidal, less white-supremacist, than they actually are. But as an Asian-Canadian who’s seen how so many (and particularly- the state and corporate institutions) still behave- particularly against indigenous people, but also against Muslims and non-whites, and especially Asians and anything ethnic Chinese or South Asian in recent years- the truth is it hasn’t developed all that much beyond optics.

Listen, I’m not a water detective or whatever, but I have a sneaking suspicion of who might be guilty of blowing up the pipeline…

Inb4 those files go “missing” under unexplained circumstances on the way from Sweden to Germany.
