      lol, that’s what I don’t understand about the anti-china “left”. How can they mentally resolve siding with the most reactionary conservatives on the planet.

        It’s a combination of honestly believing that Stalin and Mao lead genocides against their own people, and believing that people who defend China are shills for the Chinese government. Anti-Communism’s a powerful tool for making supposed Anti-Fascists side fully with out-in-the-open Fascists.

        While Trump was president these people would go on and on about how ‘evil’ he was, then nod along in joy hearing him talk about how ‘evil’ North Korea and China are. Because, ultimately, these people are incapable of being critical of the sources for the things they believe in.

        These reactionary conservatives are from their country, that’s how. If you look at the anti-China left in France for example they listen to French personalities. It’s not unique to the USA.

    Oh no, they are not posting cringe. They know exactly what they are doing. Wouldn’t be surprised if it comes out in the future that they are funded in part by the State Department.

    Though I find it really funny they can’t get the name of the CPC right in the second paragraph lol

    Edit: remember that social democracy, or social fascism, is there to prevent you from going further left. That is one of their many functions.

    The number of Xinjiang residents, especially ethnic Uyghurs, who are either detained in re-education camps or forced to attend day/evening “education sessions” for “de-radicalization” and indoctrination purposes in Xinjiang, may have possibly reached as high as a combined total of two to three million by June 2018, according to interviews conducted and data gathered by two NGOs, CHRD and Equal Rights Initiative.

    Our findings show that, in the villages of Southern Xinjiang, about 660,000 rural residents of ethnic Uyghur background may have been taken away from their homes and detained in re-education camps, while another up to 1.3 million may have been forced to attend mandatory day or evening re-education sessions in locations in their villages or town centers, amounting to a total of about 2 million South Xinjiang villagers in these two types of “re-education” programs.
