    on second thought, this had been coming a long time, remember reddit going public a few months back? This is the US warcriminal oligarchs trying to put the lid on another platform which has non-infiltrated and stubborn leftists communities creating counternarratives and making them available.

      I wouldn’t panic, but I would definitely look into other alternatives just in case.

      We should try not to sabotage ourselves with fear as that generally hurts movements, but we will have to move with a sense of urgency.

            the problem is not the platform but the content that will disappear. there is way too much content we need on youtube and other platforms that has to be saved, downloaded and made peer2peerable in some way so we don’t lose the main function of the internet to us in the coming months/Years. which is a collection of knowledge. not propaganda, misdirection, advertisement&misinformation as it has become…

              Fair enough.

              However, I’m just saying that we need to aim for a balance; neither too fearful and panicky (which could easily demoralize the communist/socialist and leftist forces) but also one with a sense of urgency and a bit of haste as well as staunch organization (never mind a reckoning of the dangers and possibilities we face).

      They REALLY consider this kind of thing as “libertarian” or something.

    This speaks to a wider descent into madness. It has been painful to see relatively interesting houses slide into this shallow propaganda. Al Jazeera looks weird nowadays. Their fight with UAE seems to blind them. Whichever side UAE takes, they take the opposite. They are now indistinguishable from CNN and Silicon Valley talking points on the Ukrainian situation.
