Damn what cities in the US have good night life? I feel like very few places you can get a whole ass meal after midnight. NYC and Atlanta are the only ones that come to mind.

There are tons of places in the world where the last stores close by 8pm if not even 7 and the last restaurants by 10 at the latest. I’ve personally been to some small rural towns where it seems like literally everyone goes to sleep at 9pm. And god help you if you notice late Saturday evening you forgot to go shopping and your fridge is empty because Sundays everything is closed there, religious or not they are super uptight about having their day of rest.

Not being able to dine after 10pm is dystopian to everyone living south of the alps

Lol, where I come from it’s the exact opposite, my grandparents would say if you haven’t had dinner by 6pm you should just skip it and eat more at breakfast tomorrow instead. For some reason they were convinced it is extremely unhealthy and bad for your sleep and digestion to eat late. And sometimes when i feel really bad in the morning after i compulsively snacked late last night i kinda think they had a point…

The whole “don’t eat too late because it’s bad for your digestion” is actually a sentiment I grew up with and still make it a habit to this day, kinda. I will eat a full meal after six if I need to but never after 8:30. It sounds weird but I did hear a lot about sleeping slowing down digestions or something. Maybe it’s bullshit and you can eat how ever much at any time at any stage of wakefulness but I hate risking that kind of stuff.

Was she complaining about not being able to go to a restaurant after 10pm in North Korea? If so, sorry to break it to ya, honey, but where I live most restaurants are closed and the only places open are fast-food joints, bars, and clubs.

I think it’s a meme mocking her, not something she actually said. Her complaints about North Korea are way more ridiculous and extreme than that. The meme does mimic her speaking style pretty well, though. (At least from what I’ve seen of her.)
