Applebaum won the Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction in 2004 for Gulag: A History published the previous year. She is a staff writer for The Atlantic and a senior fellow at The Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
She also peddles the Holodomor conspiracy theory and wrote a book on it called “Red Famine: Soviet Attack on Ukraine” or something lile that.
The most hilarious thing is Mark Tauger’s takedown of that book (Red Famine: Stalin’s War on Ukraine). All he does is read a couple sentences or paragraphs further in her own sources to completely obliterate her fascist arguments.
