      I think there was one assassination attempt from a woman journalist, and Fidel just stared in her eyes and dared her to shoot, and she backed down. That might have just been a dream I had tho.

        It was actually a former lover and close associate of his that the CIA had got to. She was given poison pills to put in his food, but eventually came clean about the plot and confessed she was still in love with him. Her name was Marita Lorenz, and apparently they’re making a movie about her life starring Jennifer Lawrence soon.
