Funnily enough I’m having trouble knowing what cult in particular you’re talking about. Revcoms are a cult, Black Hammer is a cult, Red Guards are a cult. Black Hammer is weird, though. The leader associated with Winston and allegedly considered themself a black liberationist first and foremost and a communist second, but obviously with Maoist sympathies.
