    No, I know him and know people who fled. I don’t want to divulge too much information, but I am not exaggerating when I say they were fearful and left without saying a word to anyone. Winston has utterly deranged beliefs, even if he hides it under the veneer of being a “non-Gonzaloite”. I got sucked into his orbit once some odd years ago, and I’m eternally grateful that I escaped before truly starting a chapter.

      if i had a nickel for a maoist forming a cult, i’d have two nickels, which isn’t much but is strange that it happened twice

        Funnily enough I’m having trouble knowing what cult in particular you’re talking about. Revcoms are a cult, Black Hammer is a cult, Red Guards are a cult. Black Hammer is weird, though. The leader associated with Winston and allegedly considered themself a black liberationist first and foremost and a communist second, but obviously with Maoist sympathies. To BRG’s credit, he distanced himself from Black Hammer immediately as they devolved into… what they are now.
