    Well “fine”.

    Federal law 272-FZ, 14.07.22. Changes made into the labour laws, allowing for overtime without additional payment, prolonged work hours, night shifts for the same pay, etc.

      Well that’s capitalism for you. In US, they’re forcing rail workers to work without even giving them sick days right now. Meanwhile, unpaid overtime is pretty much the norm in North America. Not even a recent thing either. They call doing a ton of unpaid over time “professionalism” here.

        Indeed. And now we’re well on the way to go full USA. There’s also an initiative to combine OMS (free-for-all government health insurance) and DMS (paid health insurance).

          They’ve basically been dismantling the whole social safety net since USSR collapsed. Honestly, I’m more amazed how much of it still remains today.

              It’s what they will do unless people realize that capitalism must be stopped. The only way out is to get rid of the bourgeoisie government and put in proletarian rule back in place. Unfortunately, I don’t see a clear path towards that right now in Russia.

        It’s called being salary vs hourly. lol. They give you a few more cents per hour and maybe put you on a PTO plan that gets you a few more days a couple years earlier than hourly and everyone buys into it because you also get out of having to use a click in/out system that flags you for even the most miniscule deviation for it’s set time.

          You have a bit more control being an hourly contractor, but you’re still competing with other people on the market. Ultimately, what you’re able to charge for work is based on what most people are charging.

            Oh I mean just in general from any company. I am hourly at my co so I get overtime pay for anything past 8 hours a day/40 hours a week. People in salary positions don’t get OT. They get a little higher pay but if you pull even 2 or 3 hrs or as hourly you make more per paycheck. The only real bonus salary has is more “flexibility” with the work times and a slightly increase PTO plan so the max out their days sooner. But it still takes like 10 years so it’s bullshit anyway because no one stays with a company that long because you have to constantly change jobs to get anything close to a fair increase in pay.

            The honest to go biggest reason I would go salary is not having to deal with our shitty time clock system. Salary you just show up within a window of time work then leave whenever. Hourly if you are like a second past your clock in time you get flagged. Break isn’t exactly 30 minutes? Flag. Clock out 1 second early? Flag. There for a while they also said you could get any OT so you couldn’t clock in early or out late but that fell apart because it was too pain in the ass to manage.

          Though I know that workers feel powerless to change these type of inane laws and the bourgeoisie couldn’t care less about what happens to the workers that make them profits.

            Well the changes in laws and other things are currently being justified by the war. You know, the whole “Our homeland is besieged by evil Nazis, so we must all band together and push through!”

            As for the workers, frankly many don’t actually know their rights. I.e. many people think that an employer can just fire them willy nilly, like in Hollywood movies. In reality, we have a whole set of legal reasons for being fired, and the employer is obligated to prove that the worker indeed falls under one of the categories.

    FT is one of the stupidest publications. It’s so laced with cope and projection that it’s of very little factual value, even to capitalists. If anything it might be a gift to comrades looking to understand the enemy better.

      I find once you learn to read past all the jargon they do tend to squirrel away useful information in their articles, and often admit stuff you don’t see reported in western media. This makes them particularly handy for talking to people who only guzzle western propaganda as they can’t dismiss it.
