Two potential thoughts here.
-
“Oh I’m sure it’s the “economic worries” that is driving this and have nothing to do with his blatant support of an ongoing genocide.”
-
"Now that I think about it though, I would not be surprised if the genocide had nothing to do with it and many Americans simply do not give a shit till it impacts their wallet. "
I imagine each point is a factor for different demographics. People who have financial problems are worried about how they’re gonna make ends meet, while people who are better off are increasingly becoming uncomfortable that their party is openly supporting a genocide.

The moment I saw his presidential campaign commit to Bidenomics as their central platform six months ago, I knew his goose was cooked.
I’m guessing they really thought they could sell people on the idea that the economy is booming back when they coined it.
The economic worries are only getting started. There’s a new war brewing.
And Saudi Arabia is resisting US pressure to join in a coalition against Yemen
Saudi Arabia is probably benefiting from the increase in oil prices without having to draw the ire of the US government if it had cut production

You might be on to something here. They could try to start a new war to divert attention from the collapse in Ukraine, and to run Biden as a war president. There are two main problems I see with this plan. First, it’s not clear that US has enough materiel left over from Ukraine for the scale of the conflict they’re going to find themselves in. Second, Yemen will likely attack Saudi refineries which will lead to an energy crisis in the west. Gas prices is the one thing that Americans pay attention to during elections. Having gas shoot up through the roof would be absolutely catastrophic for the dems.
Who would imagine that the worsening of material conditions reflects on the government’s popularity, you can’t use the Trump ghost forever.
If you talk to libs you’ll find out that this is the best economy ever.
you can’t use the Trump ghost forever.
Oh but gosh-darned it, they are going to try. Long after Trump is dead, they will continue to invoke his specter to try to drum up guilt-votes. He’s the best thing that ever happened to the dems.
