WE CAN’T BOUGHT COMMUNIST BOOKS IN HERE BECAUSE NO FUCKING CAPITALIST PUBLISHING HOUSE WOULD DARE TO PUBLISH THEM

And in the only two instances in the last 33 years when they did, they were most probably told to stop after 1st book since next ones were not published despite high demand.

Old PRL editions are very hard to get because not only they are old, but libraries were purged.

The Soviet Union heavely subsidised books keeping their price at a minimum. Many workers even had their own lybaris at home.

Can confirm anecdotally, my mother and my uncle both have several shelves full of books bought during late USSR times.

Libs and socdems can’t ever get their story straight. They flip flop between “The USSR/China/DPRK/whatever is state capitalist/fascist/whatever and that’s why they’re so horrible and you wouldn’t be supporting them if you were truly a socialist!” and “The USSR/China/DPRK/whatever is why communism is the devil and kills people!” Like a goddamn metronome.

Saying nothing of the fact that essentially all of what they accuse those countries of are bullshit outright, or more twisted from reality than a knit scarf, of course.
