This sort of thing will only happen more and more often as the commons are hidden behind ever higher pay walls.

Please tell me it’s some kind of misinterpretation of what happened. Because this is absolute bullshit if that’s how it went for real. Heavy criminal offence level of bullshit. “Criminal inaction” level.

Amerikkka. Where the cops help the school shooters kill more kids and firefighters show up just to roast some marshmallows.

In a just world, a Tennessee family would be watching for firefighters burn. These mafia wannabe fucks probably set the fucking fire.

It is. lol. What do you think “family watches as firefighters let their house burn down because they didn’t pay up-front” is? Collapse isn’t some instant thing where one day everything hunky dory and the next day it’s mad max cannibalism. The countries been in a state of collapse for a couple decades. It’s just we are getting into the late game now.

True, but despite this internal collapse, the country is still powerful internationally. I cant wait for that dominance to end.

      Ding ding ding.

The only difference between business and organized crime is legality.

A lot of time that doesn’t even matter much. A lot of what gig app companies do is straight up illegal fraud. That’s even after they bought themselves a law to allow them to abuse their workers 1000 different ways legally.

Banks constantly charge illegal fees and commit all kinds of fraud. Sometimes they are fined but mostly they just get away with it.

        And so on.

Edit: news flash-- we don’t live in a civilized society and there is no rule of law.
