Not talking literally everything but men have been the leading in pretty mucheverythingfrom building to craftin etc etc. as of the last centuries women have started to take more active roles in society as opposed to our first roles as primitive humans. But everything is still pretty much dominated by men.

I think this is because even though we developed brains highly functional that enable us to see past our instincts we see still abide by them in some ways.

Now I know there has been important women in history too so don’t come at me with that. There has been way more important men in response to that.

my reasoning is that evolution is the main culprit.

  • In feudal, slave-based or capitalist societies? Just a guess: women were treated as lesser than men for quite a few years (for difference in muscle mass or some other equally arbitrary reason) -> capitalism began during such a time -> all major capitalists were men -> capitalists’ male children inherit their wealth (because these capitalists are likely still misogynistic to some degree) -> because non-capitalists very rarely become capitalists, the cycle continues -> since capitalists are the ruling class, they decide to whom high-paying jobs will be assigned

I’m not sure what you mean by “evolution is the main culprit”, though

I think you are straying dangerously close to what is known as “evolutionary psychology”, which is a debunked and discredited pseudoscience.

Try reading Engels’ “The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State”, it’s fairly dated in some aspects but still provides some interesting insight into this topic.
