I mean technically Italy was a Fascist state for longer than Germany was, I get that they’re trying to say that Italy was weak and ineffective, but to portray them as a tiny cat isn’t accurate. I mean they had control of the Balkans and North Africa, nothing to scoff at
That was pre-war however, and they inherited North Africa from the Italian Empire.
Once the war started they immediately got annihilated by Greece and Britain.
No mention of the crimes Italy did in Dalmatia…
I have no idea what this is even trying to say. Why are all countries represented by animals that are not indigenous to them?
It’s meant to represent the strength — Italy is being portrayed as weak by being a house cat
sometimes I forget that that’s how reactionaries think of historical events. “Country stronk! Like that big cat from the Savannah I’ve seen once in the zoo!”
