I just had to remove about 15 posts, (and someone kept making new accounts) from atlantic and variety, from people claiming we’re homophobic?

I just added a harsher signup and posting timeout as a short fix, which I don’t really like doing, but I have shit to do today and I have no choice.

edit: To clarify the mod policy here, homophobia / transphobia is a bannable offense.

I wouldn’t hesitate to remove explicitly homophobic or racist posts, and I don’t hesitate to remove western propo either (at least for now, until we decide what sectarianism is allowed here)

      So far, they’ve been only from atlantic, guardian, and variety, very anticommunist western news sources known for completely unsourced lies about VZ, China, Russia, NK, etc.

      Not believing completely unsourced articles from western news companies owned by tech billionares about muh russia or china isn’t.

        Then there should be an actual rule against those sources in the sub, not just banning people ad-hoc for breaking an unspoken agreement.

        Homophobia is bad and we should fight it always. But signing up to a site and making baseless accusations is not the way to do that.

          I’m not agreeing with everyone else that just doing this automatically counts as homophobic, but the modlog is public. People can see what’s happening.

            I dont know why he initially deleted that post, but it was reposted like 10 times, and that is definitely not the right way to handle a disagreement. Neither is brigading from another site.
