The chuds cheering for a literal fighter jet shooting a fucking flying ball of gas don’t seem to realize that China already has closer-than-satellite footage of many US bases from this balloon sent back to Beijing and by shooting it down it will have been properly disposed of so America won’t be able to access it and find out what it saw

Frankly I’m amazed at how it was done as well. A supposedly stealth air superiority fighter jet, needing to get that close to a slow moving balloon and hit it with an air-air missile. Whatever happened to the boasts of “beyond horizon” strikes? Whatever happened to those 30mm cannons?
Yea, if it is actually a spy satellite, the data should have already been sent over to other stations via radio waves encrypted.
