Democracy is when a homeless man has free speech rights to yell that he is cold and hungry, but nobody listens to him. It’s when black people can protest and say racism is bad, but cops still shoot them. Liberals, especially the privileged ones, employ this bullshit to try and placate the marginalized and maintain the status quo. Hey you can yell about how much shit sucks at least.

unless he’s yelling in a place where others can hear him, in which case he will be arrested and/or shot

Not even the freedom to be homeless and visible, it’s a crime to even slightly haunt a liberal yuppie’s conscience.

Here in Texas, homelessness “public camping” is illegal statewide.

    • A common example westerners use for their freedom of speech is that they can insult the leader or draw him in an insulting charicture and not be punished, and it is true that they can do that, but also they’ll get shot in the back of the head for bringing up shit that actually matters.

It’s worse than that, actually saying whatever you want without any consequence means you are powerless. Powerful people cannot say what they want, their speech matters. If everyone has power, then no one can say whatever they want. In democracy there is no freeze peach, there is freedom in collective reflection but there are also consequences

you have the freedom to quietly say that you are cold and hungry; and even then, you’ll be treated as an “illegal”. Your few possessions will be treated as litter. Those who attempt to assist you will be treated as committing a criminal act.
