I think any socialist revolution in Western Europe would necessarily have to redistribute wealth not only to its own proletariat, but to the proletariat of the places they colonized.
The assumption that a Slavoj Zizek is the same as a Vladimir Lenin, is incorrect. Anglo socialists are a lot more fallible and less strict about good morals than non Anglo/anti imperialist country ones.
Well… there are socialists here and there, just not in mainstream. Socialist speakers are often kept banned from universities and public soapboxes by combined efforts of libs and righties.
