This. It’s astounding that many of the same people who support Iran and Syria for anti-imperialist reasons balk at giving even the most critical support to Russia. What’s the rationale? That Russia is actually powerful enough to stomp the Nazis, and so posting Russian flags on Twitter doesn’t let us feel like the underdog?
I swear, some of these Western “Marxists” would have advocated for “revolutionary defeatism” during World War II.
