Seeing mixed reports about the head of wagner rolling into Rostov, Russia. All kinds of other rumors swirling around. Anyone have any good info, or good sources to follow?

    I’m not really in the whole Ukraine war loop.

    That must be wonderful

    Wagner is a Russian mercenary group which have been deployed in Ukraine. From time to time they get in the spotlight because they seem to disagree with how the war is going, only for the news to die down after a day or two. But now they seem to have taken control of some military base in Rostov after some of them went rogue. A lot is still unclear, though it seems more serious than the usual reporting.

        That does seem far more serious than the last thing I’ve read. But for my own sanity I will not follow the news closely today.

        Yeah, there is no universe in which a rebellion aimed at toppling only a portion of the government works, at least if you’re going up against a strong and popular leader (which Putin appears to be).

      Thanks comrade. Yes for sanity purposes sometimes it is best to ignore current events and delve into the history books.

      This war in Ukraine if it goes Russia’s way would a major event in helping tip the balance of power from the imperialists. Pretty disappointed with this development. Hope the resolution of this insurrection is quick.
