“I’ll tell you the honest truth: I’m kind of simple-minded when it comes to these things. Well, considering he went on a crusade against Marxism and especially Marxism-Leninism, that’s pretty… uh, anti-intellectual of him. Not to say plain reactionary garbage.
Not sure why he couldn’t just admit he’s ignorant and intolerant towards marxism
I feel a lot of left-leaning Americans who are anti-communist and refuse to read and understand Marx look up to him as an intellectual who isn’t Marxist which gives them comfort in their own biases. If he was honest about it, he wouldn’t be able to fulfill his role in as a CIA plant.
