Got a week, give me your best memes, I can probably find proper argumentation for the serious part on my own.

If you have any socialist template for a presentation, do share too.

Can you give us more detail? (But not at the expense of spending enough time on the assignment!)

For example, are you arguing that socialism is the best way of achieving SDGs?

Or are you arguing for socialism in opposition to pursuing SDGs?

What’s the field? Politics? Sociology? Law? Geography?

      socialism for achieving SDGs.

I mean, mine is poverty, which is defined as “50% of people over poverty line” iirc, so low af.

its just a presentation on what my topic is and what I think should be done to achieve it. Sociology optative, I guess

The thing about the SDGs is that a lot of people try to use human rights to say they are more robust than the millennium development goals. They give human rights a boost by saying we need human rights to be less about mere political enfranchisement, and more about rights to food, water etc. They then use this against corps to protect people on the countryside from polluting water and destroying the land and so on. They also use it as a way to get people to claim their rights from the State which will motivate the State to legitimize itself by responding in kind. This book goes into this a bit. Interestingly enough the PRC’s agency on poverty alleviation was involved in the book by giving the author questions and feedback on the book.

You can see how this is probably better than nothing, and more effective than fetishizing GDP, but it is not without criticism. Human rights have a lot of problems that im not willing to fully explain at this time. Suffice it to say that leveraging human rights is a different approach than establishing a political party that represents the countryside and the working people of the city at the expense of capitalist social relations.

Apparently its gonna be much shorter than expected, so to properly cover the topic and not go overtime I will have to cut down the meme material or complete socialist analysis a bit.

I am def putting yellow parenti quotes into “why the 3rd world ‘is poor’ and how to solve it”. That shit be going down

serious presentation on Sustainable Development Goals

I’m currently working on one on China and ecosocialism (idk which goals bc it covers at least three). I wish I had more time both to prepare and to present. Good luck comrade.
